Catalog ACMA00031227
Description The activated carbon fibre is synthetic material made from a poly acrylonitrile material which is activated at high temperatures for optimum activity.
Each strand of the fiber has small 8-30 carbon fibres which increases its surface area to a very large extent. The fiber also has large pore size distribution starting from pores as small as 20 angstroms. These tiny pores help in adsorption of impurities having a broad range of molecular size.
Application The ACF is used in the gas mask to remove the smell, dust, pollen, germs and virus from the air. It is also used in gas mask in the chemical industry to remove carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, benzene, ether , aldehyde, gasoline... etc.
Bulk Density 0.07-0.1 kg/m3
Feature Benzene Adsorption: 50%
Pore Diameter: 0.7 - 3 nm
Specification Width in 12 mm
Thickness 1.5 - 2.5 mm
Specific Surface Area 1100-1400 m2/g
