Notes Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibers are high performance semi-crystalline fibers with exceptional chemical and thermal stability, high dimension stability, low moisture absorption and high hydrolysis resistance when exposed to acids, alkalis and organic (corrosive) solvents. Further advantages are high energy absorption, low creep tendency, high dimensional stability, and fatigue resistance. PPS has a melting point of about 285 ° C and retains its properties when used continuously up to 190 ° C.
