Description | PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fibers offer a unique blend of chemical and temperature resistance coupled with a low friction coefficient. Since PTFE is chemically inert, it is able to withstand exposure to the harshest of environments. The friction coefficient, which is the lowest of all fibers, makes PTFE widely used as bearing replacement material as well as release material when stickiness is a concern. With a service temperature range of -100°C to 260°C, Tensylene is ideal for applications that require broad temperature ranges. |
