Description | Meta-aramides have excellent resistance to temperature, chemical degradation, and abrasion. It is inherently flame retardant. A meta-aramide fiber is normally produced by spinning in a chemical solution, the wet spinning process. This produces a semi-crystalline fiber with a molecular chain that is partially aligned along the fiber axis. Low stiffness and high elongation give the material a textile character, which is especially appreciated in protective clothing. |
Application | Automotive, Textile, Paper, Hygiene & Medical, Electrical, Industrial, PPE/Apparel, Public Transportation, Thermal Insulation, Composites, Filtration |
Cut Length | 32-160 mm (Other cut lengths and titers on request) |
Feature | Because of their exceptional heat and flame resistance Meta-Aramid staple fibers are mostly used for thermal protection or industrial filtration. In comparison to similar synthetic fibers Meta-Aramid due to their clear white color offers a lot of different applications. The staple fibers are suitable for all spinning or nonwoven processes. |
