Description | Meta-aramides have excellent resistance to temperature, chemical degradation, and abrasion. It is inherently flame retardant. A meta-aramide fiber is normally produced by spinning in a chemical solution, the wet spinning process. This produces a semi-crystalline fiber with a molecular chain that is partially aligned along the fiber axis. Low stiffness and high elongation give the material a textile character, which is especially appreciated in protective clothing. |
Application | Automotive, Textile, Paper, Hygiene & Medical, Electrical, Industrial, PPE/Apparel, Public Transportation, Thermal Insulation, Composites, Filtration |
Cut Length | 32-160 mm (Other cut lengths and titers on request) |
Feature | Meta-Aramid shortcut fibers are mainly used to produce electrical insulation paper. They are produced in a classic wetlaid nonwoven process and are made for electronic applications such as transformes, generators or battery packs. |
