Notes | HMPE stands for high molecular polyethylene. The molecular mass is very high, and due to the highly crystalline and parallel-oriented structure of the molecule, the material has considerable strength. This is 40% higher than aramid in terms of mass. With a density of 0.97 g/cm131, the material is lighter than water and is perfectly suited for all maritime applications, as well as for fishing lines, kite lines, climbing ropes, archery, sails, tarpaulins, forestry equipment, etc. HMPE is very UV-resistant, hydrophobic and impact resistant as well as cut and abrasion resistant, which makes many other applications possible, such as PPE, ballistic vests, armor for vehicles. |
Specification | Available Standard Finenesses: 1.5 den |
